I've been gone a long time.
For most of the Covid years, actually.
When things kicked off and we all hunkered down and hid in our houses like bears trying our best to sleep through a hard winter, I tried to use the time to be creative.
I focused on a revamp of this blog, baked my way to previously unimagined dress sizes, wrote new harp music, welcomed home the kids who lost jobs and apartments and relationships (I "welcomed home" all their stuff too) and leaned hard into my Anne & God poems/comics and waited for things to return to normal.
Yeah, normal turned out to be a distant dream.
And by the summer of 2020 I was running out of gas.
And I needed money.
Covid drastically altered my work life - 90 percent - in all seriousness 90 PERCENT of my harp income disappeared overnight.
So I turned to other pursuits.
The good news - I found work.
The bad news - it didn't really leave me a lot of time for blogging.
And, to be honest, my heart and mind were not in a space to be very creative any more. I was too exhausted and caught up in the depression of myself and, seemingly, everyone around me.
But I am slowly re-emerging.
For now, you still won't see much that is new here. I am putting the creative energy I have right now into my other blog (Anne & God: Conversations With The Infinite), my book, and my one-woman-show.
And my newsletter for all of the above.
So, until I can carve out some extra time to post here again, if you enjoy my writing and my take on life and my harp stuff, please consider subscribing to my newsletter by clicking here.
